5 out of 5 stars Well - It's About Time!!!!!   September 28, 2008

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I have been checking periodically with amazon.com for the past four years on the off chance this movie might one day show up - AND SO IT FINALLY HAS!!!! Saw this once as a young child on Disney's weekly hour long show, back when they made and aired decent family shows on television every week, and I have never forgotten it. I've watched amazon.com come out with Three Lives Of Thomasina, Jungle Book, Toby Tyler, and Hans Brinker! Now if they will just go after "Almost Angels", "Big Red". and "Uncle Remos' Song of the South", I can die happy!!!!

5 out of 5 stars A Must-Have Walt Disney classic   September 22, 2008
Ms. Peggy A. Drechsler (Raleigh, NC United States)
This was my favorite Disney movie when I was a child. The emphasis in the movie was that the people of Romney Marsh were good people, who smuggled products into England so that they would have enough income to survive. Misty moors at night, spooky costumes, fast horses, intrigue and daring escapes made it an annual Halloween favorite at our house. It was one of the longer length motion pictures that Disney had produced at the time, and would be well worth buying. Please re-release it in Blue Ray!

5 out of 5 stars The Scarecrow is tentatively scheduled for release on Nov. 11th   August 17, 2008

One of the crown jewels of Disney's movies that has been up until now unreleased on DVD. The good news is that it will be part of the upcoming Disney Treasures release. You might want to pre-order your copy now like I did. Also on tap for that date will be The Chronological Donald Vol. 4. I have that one on order too. Good stuff!!

Scarecrow just recently came to mind again. I can still see the ghostly skeletal horses they rode! I used to have nightmares! lol Cannot wait till this comes out on DVD. I loved the movie and the series, what little of it I can remember.

5 out of 5 stars Disney, be our hero!   July 18, 2008

I don't know what's keeping Disney from putting "The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh" on DVD. I LOVED that movie. I'd be so excited when it would re-run on the Wonderful World of Disney! I even have the song in my brain."Scarecrow, Scarecrow, the soldiers of the king fear his name...but the countryfolk all love him just the same!" Man, that was one exciting show for me as a kid. How dare they tease us by dangling it out there for awhile and pulling it out from underneath us! Please, Disney, release it and release it great, with interviews(even old ones)and lots of extras.
