Donald Duck's nephews learn why holidays come once a year, Goofy and son discover the spirit of Santa, and Mickey and Minnie reenact a classic tale of giving in this all-new holiday offering. Kelsey Grammer (TV's Frasier) narrates as Donald hosts Christmas at his house, complete with an egg and pancake breakfast, a sled for each duckling in the closet, and Daisy under the mistletoe. But the celebration gets old fast when the boys' wish for Christmas every day comes true. Next up, Goofy's son wonders whether there is a Santa after the villainous Pete tells him there's not and he catches Dad impersonating the portly gift-giver. Goofy demonstrates the spirit of giving by taking a meal and presents to less-fortunate neighbors, and many Goofy-style mishaps later, father and son have a surprise visitor. In the third story, the mouse lovebirds give an updated spin to O. Henry's "The Gift of the Magi," with Minnie having the heirloom watch with no chain and Mickey a harmonica with no case. The joys and lessons of Christmases past are revisited in three enchanting, lesson-filled tales featuring Disney's favorite cartoon characters - in the first story, Donald's nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie remember the time they wished Christmas was every day and it came true! As they relive Christmas day over and over again, the fun soon turns monotonous and boring, and along the way, the boys learn the true meaning of Christmas.
In the second story, Goofy and his son Max confront the 'myth' of Santa Claus - Goofy is a true believer and Max turns out to be skeptic after next door neighbor Pete tells him Santa isn't real. It takes a lot of effort and some magic before Max comes around:)
In the last story, Mickey and Minnie play down-on-their luck sweethearts whose purse strings won't stretch to give each other a special present, and so they decide to sacrifice something precious belonging to each of them to please the other - this truly encapsulates the lesson of Christmas - that it is better to give than to receive, and of noble sacrifice.
All in all, my family really enjoyed the movies - charming Disney animation with time-honored lessons of what Christmas is all about!

I have wanted this dvd for quite sometime and finally bit the bullet and I was not disappointed.
Once Upon A Christmas is made up of three tales featuring classic Disney characters that include: Donald and Daisy Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Mickey and Minne Mouse, Goofy and Max.
From a heartwarming tale of gifts from the heart (Mickey and Minnie) to is there a Santa (Goofy and Max) to neverending Christmas (all the Ducks), this a great flick for all ages.
Special features include, two sing a longs, previews and a dvd storybook.
A good deal all around. I highly recommend this dvd.

The term classic is apparently meaningless? I would appreciate it if you would define your categories, or at least prominantly display the date of the original issue of a work so that those of us who enjoy only vintage Disney animation could quickly eliminate those of no interest, especially those with tacky, boring computer animation.

I love this movie! My kids do too. You can't have christmas without a good christmas movie and this one is at the top of our list every year!
